Halos 3rd Printing and Excerpts

On top of being almost finished with my second book (Wicked Life) and third play I'm also editing Halos again. (If anything ever comes of my next book I at least want the first one to be readable.) This means that everyone who hasn't already had a chance to read it can expect another printing sometime in the summer. Until then I intend to put excerpts from both books here within the next few days.

So keep checking back. Things are about to get interesting...

PRICE CHANGES

Halos is entering it's second printing. It has been re-edited and there will be a few changes to the way the book is printed. Due to the high cost of shipping (5 euros and twenty cents) I'm forced to up the price of the book. Hopefully I've built enough momentum for a domestic release of the book in the U.S. and I'd like to thank everybody who currently owns a copy.

So the new price is $18.75 or 16.20 in Euros. Shipping is included. Thank you once again for making me an international success! (If you ever need a cup of coffee...)

There are two options to pay. You can either email me ONE1@thewholedamnshow.com and I'll send you an email order form from PayPal. Or you can logon to http://www.paypal.com yourself and just send the money to my email address (same as above). Your order will be shipped immediately with not too many extras because this international shipping thing is very expensive.

I am pleased to announce that my book will be officially released Monday June 23rd. There will be a book-release reading at 8pm at Shakespeare and Company bookstore in Paris (Across the street from Notre Dame).

I would like to thank everyone that made the release of this book possible (and the numerous un-named acquaintances that appear within). There's a million more things that I would love to say but I have a hell of a lot of work to do before Monday.

A long and tiring day spent battling the forces of evil due to a German virus that was plaguing my computer (not so fucking cocky NOW are ya! You Scheizer Cyber geek!) and also the quite natural Microsoft products that did everything in their power to prevent me from sending off excerpts of my book to agent and publisher.

They are sent now. (All except one due to a lack of "change.") And within a couple of months things should be really rolling. In the meantime I'm already hard at work on my second book (as of yet untitled) as well as the next update for this page which will hopefully include excerpts from Halos and information for anyone who would wish to purchase a self-published copy through me. (Extremely limited copies will be available, and they will most assuredly differ from the final copy as I keep changing little details every day and will probably continue this practice until the book's official publication. That said I'm extremely happy with the book the way it is now, so anyone now obtaining a copy will be able to see it in complete form as it was envisioned for the third time.)

The book already differs significantly from when I originally printed it. Those who read it then will notice among other major changes that I've all but dropped the direct comparison between artists and normal people (which was originally the books main focus) in favor of a more narrative biography that focuses on the concept and origin of artists both indirectly (though association) and directly (through the narrator).

I hope you will spend a lot of time on this new page, not that I intend to spend any time neglecting the journal of my insane life on TWDS.
